Qurbani Project

Updated: Jun 15, 2023

4Them has witnessed first-hand the impact of our initiatives in alleviating hunger and malnutrition among the impoverished population. Since 2017, we have been actively organizing Qurbani campaigns, bringing much-needed relief to Yemeni families who cannot afford food. Through these efforts, we are making a significant impact on local communities and combating the dire issue of malnutrition in Yemen.

Yemen has been grappling with a severe malnutrition crisis, and it deeply moved us to witness the hardships faced by millions of people, including children, due to chronic food insecurity. The years of conflict, economic instability, and limited access to resources have contributed to this devastating situation.

In response to the urgent need for food assistance, we at 4Them have been conducting Qurbani campaigns in Yemen since 2017. The concept of Qurbani refers to the act of sacrificing an animal during the Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha, with the meat distributed among the needy. This resonated deeply with our team, as we saw an opportunity to provide nutritious food to those who need it most.

Through the generosity of our donors, we collected funds and coordinated the purchase and distribution of livestock in Yemen. Witnessing the joy and gratitude on the faces of the recipients as they received their portion of meat was a humbling experience that reinforced the importance of our mission.

The Qurbani campaigns led by 4Them have had a profound impact on Yemeni communities. By providing high-quality meat to families who cannot afford it, we address immediate hunger and improve the nutritional intake of beneficiaries.

Additionally, the Qurbani distribution creates a sense of unity and compassion within the community. It fosters a spirit of giving and reminds us all of the importance of supporting one another during challenging times. This collective effort strengthens the bonds between donors and recipients, creating a network of compassion that extends far beyond the act of giving.

While our Qurbani campaigns have made a significant difference, we are fully aware that the malnutrition crisis in Yemen requires sustained efforts and support. We continue to raise awareness and seek donations to expand our initiatives, ensuring that more families benefit from this vital food assistance program.

Moreover, we are committed to addressing the underlying causes of malnutrition by engaging in comprehensive development projects. Our aim is to provide sustainable solutions that empower Yemeni communities, breaking the cycle of poverty and transforming lives for the better.
